Choose the context that you want to change the color of (2d, 3d Block editor ...) then choose the color, apply and close. I don't know what the BACKGROUND command does - will have to look it up. From the help file: BACKGROUND (Quick Reference) Obsolete. BACKGROUND functionality has been merged into the VIEW command. Glen Quote
