Select identical objects

Morning all - I hope someone can help me remember a command (or was I dreaming it!). I used a command a long time ago (but have forgotten it, dammit) where you can pick an object, and AutoCAD creates a selection set of IDENTICAL objects - e.g. it picks lines of the same length, on the same layer, same angle - identical. You can then choose another command (such as MOVE and then P (previous) to get this selection set) and move/delete them. Can anyone please let me know if this is correct, or did I in fact dream it? Thank you for your help
