todouble22 Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 I just got a version of 2010 and I'm trying to use it on scanned drawings to convert them into functioning drawings where I can manipulate the parts of it like lines and text. A lot of the scans are in really poor condition so I'm having to redraw and replace parts of it. 2010 picks up some of the text and is correct at times and I replace it with a comparible mtext and basically redraw the whole thing. I was hoping that the new version would scan it in and pick up the different entities such as text and lines. It works ok I guess but I was wondering if any of you out there have done similar work and have found good practices in doing such a task. I appreciate all your input in advance.. Quote
tzframpton Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 I wasn't aware that AutoCAD 2010 had raster to vector conversion capabilities. How are you getting AutoCAD to "pick up" some of the text? Quote
