richard3009 Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 In 2008lt I have multiple entries of mtext on my drawing and wish to change the font of say 300 entries out of 500 on the drawing how do i change just the text I want to IN ONE CLICK. Quote
RobDraw Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 If I'm following the way you stated your question correctly, it's impossible. I'm assuming that all 500 text entities are of the same text style. You could set up a different text style and then select the 300 you want to change and using your properties box click the drop down menu next for text style and (it's only one click from here) select the new text style. richard3009 Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 tried that, created a new text style, e.g times new roman, selected say 20 entries of text clicked the properties icon or ctl+1 and then using the style drop down within properties, changed to the new style, but the text on screen remains the same Quote
RobDraw Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 It sounds like someone assigned a font within the mtext editor. Search for a lisp program on this site called stpmtext. Start it and select all. It will filter out non text entities. Once you do this, your text should behave as expected. Quote
dbroada Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 that is a pet hate of mine with MTEXT. You can explode MTEXT back to TEXT and then apply the newer style using properties. Quote
richard3009 Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 thanks the explode works nicely, they are all single lines anyway, so no issue changing to single line text, hell of an oversight by the prgrammers though Quote
