SFG13 Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Hi, I created two drawings in 09' and want to change them as 2D wireframe images? Where do I click on, plot? Quote
ReMark Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 I'll bet you have plain old 2D (flat, flat, flat) objects and thus you will not get a 2D wireframe output and there is no magic button that will produce one in the plot window. Suggestion: Open AutoCAD Help. Search on the word wireframes. When the topic is found click on the word about. Look to the right and read what appears on the Concept tab. Quote
ReMark Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 The image below depicts a 2D flat object on the left comprised of lines and arcs. Notice that some of the lines are different colors. The object on the right is comprised of the same geometry but the lines and arcs have been joined (Pedit) and everything has been extruded in the 'Z' axis. I also used the union command on them. The visual style used to view the objects is 2D wireframe. I suppose one could reorient the UCS and draw in lines, etc. on the object to the left and make it look like a 2D wireframe which is all well and good but at some point that same person may want to create solids, surfaces or meshes and doing that with all those separate lines, arcs, and circles will take a little more effort.
