BuntyBunty Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Hi Guys, I am preparing a setting out drawing, with the plan xreffed in. The only info in the drawing are the dims that I am putting in ontop of the xref. Now I have saved a layer state which turns off all the unecessary layers of the xref so when I dim things up its all nice and clear. However when I reload the xref or open the drawing for the first time the layer state is not upheld. When I go to the layer states manager in layer control and try to restore the layer state it turns everything off (ie; doesn't work) and I have to set up the layer state again. I have to do this each time I open the drawing and its really slowing me down. Can anyone help with this issue? Many thanks. BB. Quote
Cad64 Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Do you have VISRETAIN set to 0 or 1? http:// http://www.markcad.com/autocad/tutorials/xref_visretain.htm Quote
