Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums and could use some help.

I work for an Interior Design firm and we have received the plans from the architect to edit with finishes etc. but the problem I am having is that when plotting none of the MSPACE text will print. The text doesn't show and neither does the hatching for specific flooring. It basically shows the building shell.

What I have tried: I have tried printing to every printer in the office, adobe PDF, printing from the actual model space instead of the layout, I've turned on everything, thawed everything and I have run out of ideas as to why this will not plot text or hatching. At this point I'm thinking it's the architect's file, but it could be something I am unaware of. Any and all feedback is welcomed and greatly appreciated because the 4 of us at the office that know CAD cannot make this work.

Oh also, I am not familiar with dealing with unreconciled layers, I know that isn't a problem because the first floor of this building has them and prints just fine, it's the second floor file that is causing me grief. First and Second floor are separate files, if that helps any.

Thank you for your help.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but here's a few more things you could check:

Have you checked the plot setting for the layers the problem objects are on?

Do you have the Architects font on your machine?

Whoose CTB/STB File are you useing?

We discovered after talking with the architect that is was a problem with the text properties, however I'm still unclear what was wrong; I wasn't the one on the phone with the architect when they fixed the problem.

But thank you for your ideas as to how to fix it.

Was the text on a non-plotting layer? Did you just get the one file, or did the architect e-plot the package to you (including all of the supporting files that go with the drawing)?

Are the text and hatching annotative?
