I am using Autocad Mechanical 2008, plotting to KIP 3000. Starting last week I couldn't plot new drawings, but I can plot older drawings and pdf's. I haven't changed my template file, operating system, plot options or plotter driver. When I send a file to the plotter my computer says it was plotted with no errors, the KIP shows the drawing in its queue as processing and then the file just disappears. The KIP guy was in today and couldn't figure it out. Could this be a plotter or Autocad problem? Thanks in advance.

Not exactly sure what that could be, but I have an idea... we have a KIP3000 here and use 2010 MEP and plot quite a bit without problems... of course there are some times where the plot is "lost" as you describe, but typically I can get it to plot on the second try.

Try setting it up again from scratch... your plot parameters that is.

I have noticed that even though we all have the KIP installed on each of our machines they are not all "labeled" consistently (i.e. some say KIP some say KIP 3000) and that tends to cause some plotting issues...

Essentially if you are plotting your drawing from a machine that has a different plotter description for the KIP than that of the machine that initially set up the page setup parameters it won't work - even though all else may look "ok" - just a thought.

try that - hopefully it'll work for you.
