Tankman Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Received a titleblock and drawing from a client. The text dimension height as well as arrow size are too small. I tried DIMSTYLE, MODIFY, adjusted both text height and arrow size. Backing out, I tried "SET CURRENT", didn't work. Tried again, "OVERRIDE", still didn't work. Tried "MODIFY PROPERTIES", text height and arrow size both show the size I adjusted in "DIMSTYLE" but, both are still smaller than desired. How can I set new sizes for the dimension text height and the arrow size? All else, everything is fine. Quote
Tankman Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 Dimscale was a no-go also. Still workin' on a solution. Thanks for the reply. Quote

Cad64 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Have you try DIM > UPDATE? Type DIM, hit Enter, type UPDATE, hit Enter, then select a dimension. Quote
Tankman Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 Have you tried DIM > UPDATE? Type DIM, hit Enter, type UPDATE, hit Enter, then select a dimension. Just tried that Cad. Gets me stuck in a loop. I entered DIM> , new prompt, UPDATE>. Prompt to SELECT OBJECTS did so, was prompted back to DIM. And 'round, 'n round, 'n round. Quote
Fire_col Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Just thought about it, it's a bit of a ball-ache, but you could turn off all your layers except for your dims layers, assuming of course that they are on seperate layers, then select all your dims, type pr and bring up the properties dialogue and then change your text height and arrow size from there. Grigs Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Is the text style used in the dimension set to a specific height in the 'style' dialog box? Quote
Tankman Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 Is the text style used in the dimension set to a specific height in the 'style' dialog box? Yes. I think I might have solved the problem. I was call away before I could check. I copied from my clients drawing, pasting in my title block. Hopefully. Quote
nukecad Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 DIM > UPDATE worked for me. Try the following- Once you have changed the dimstyle to give the text and arrow sizes you want and made it current; to update the existing dimensions type- -dimstyle a select the dimensions you need to update enter Quote
