Hy Everyone keeping this short, been using autocad for years, my first help post!!

Im in paperspace. I have mtext directly over a viewport.

I want to edit text so i double click on it and it directly jumps into the viewport not allowing me to double click edit on text in paperspace.

Any help please!!!

Just move your text away from your viewport, edit it and move it back.

You've got to be careful that your cursor is definitely on your text when you double click over a viewport.

Thats a soultion but the viewports a reasonable size plan / viewport and doing it this way isnt efficient. Uusually this does not happen and im sure theres some code to sort it out.

Text is defintely highlighted when cursor floats over.

This isnt the norm...

Select it with one click and then right click, on the menu choose mtext edit.

but double clicking is much faster... its something ive always done and really not wanting to change habit...

Agreed double clicking is much faster, is it happening to you on all of your drawings? If it is then we'll need to look into it more, but if it's just this one, then needs must n' all that :)

Just an after thought, have you checked you double click editing in options?

Just trired restart. Still happening. Just this drawing it appears...

If the viewport is on a separate layer (which it should be) then freeze it. Your text should also be on a separate layer. It just makes life so much easier when we plan ahead.
