XRef not detaching

Hi there

My first post here so go gentle!

I am having a problem getting a particular group of drawings to dettach from drawings.

I have attached usring XR but I then had to update the file with the latest drawing and the attached drawing would not detach.

Any thoughts. Will it be a setting in the original drawing I have attached??

Any help much appreciated.

Usually when a xref will not detach, it is because it is attached to another xref.

Open your XREFs and clear all the attachments out of them, if you can. This will often do the trick.

Also, this will occur when you attach as "attachment". If you attach them as "Overlay", this problem usually does not occur. Usually. Not always.

My initial thought too. For have run in to this situation before.

Otherwise, find the last pesky XREF and simply erase it. Then reboot and will be gone forever.
