the drawer Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Hello all. I have a problem that is about sheet settings. I have a printer that uses both A3 and A4 format, but no plotter A1 format. The problem is that every time I create a new sheet in a project, AutoCAD automatically opens a A1 sheet. I have tried to alter and change to A3 as the biggest sheet available, but with no luck. I have managed to make a template that I have made as a A3 sheet, but this is not good solution. Is there a way to change this, becuse I cannot find out on my own. Have tried to search this forum, but with no luck. Is there anybody that have experienced this problem before? Quote
MikeScott Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Sounds as though the printer itself has the A1 size set to default. Perhaps there's something you should change in the printer properties themselves, rather than through AutoCAD? Quote
nukecad Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Hello all. I have managed to make a template that I have made as a A3 sheet, but this is not good solution. Templates not a good solution? Why not? Everyone I know uses drawing templates, saves having to set your sheet sizes, text and dimension styles, layers, printer settings, etc., etc. everytime you start a new drawing. I've posted this before but if you decide you want templates there is a full metric set attached here- http://www.autocadeverything.com/help/showthread.php?t=4380 Quote
the drawer Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 Hello Somewhat good answers. I found out that the problem was from sheet on the screen and plotting config. The problem is that on the sheeteverything looks fine. When I want to plot, and preview, all that is inside vport has been altered to not to be printed out. How is it possible to fix this, so that the changes is set as a rule for this template in the next coming projects? What I mean is that this setting automatically is set for printing out what is inside viewport, and not for me to check and alter this every time. Quote
