tjt_trev Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Hi, I am new to Autocad which is the best template to use for kitchen design ? Quote
BIGAL Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Just start with a drawing that seems to have everything in it you want. Erase all drawing entities make sure you turn on and unfreeze layers. keep your title blocks etc and make layout tabs to suit. Do not purge as you will lose everything!! If you do want to purge pick only the objects you want to remove. Add other layers and blocks easiest way is to copy bjects from another drawing then erase. Remember you can always add to your template. Quote
ReMark Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 The best template to use is the one you are going to sit down and design yourself. It will have all the layers, linetypes, text styles, etc. you want to use when doing kitchen design already incorporated in it and your layout will already have a titleblock, border and your company logo. So start designing it now! Quote
Tankman Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Welcome to the forums tjt_trev! If you need some goes-intos you might like this URL. http://www.cadforum.cz/catalog_en/?cat=8 I am sure there are more online. Some cabinet manufacturers offer complete layouts, do a www search. That'll get you started. Or, look at some house plans, copy 'n paste the kitchen into a new drawing and modify as required. Quote
