asos2000 Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 I am creating a menu containig some lisps, and facing a problem in AutoCAD, the problem is AUtoCAD becomes slow? I think that because of Lisps which i attached to menu, So Is there a deference between *.LSP and *.VLX in loading? Thanks Quote
ReMark Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 From the AutoDesk website. "FAS and VLX files are compiled AutoLISP® files that were created with Visual LISP®. FAS files contain a single compiled AutoLISP routine, whereas VLX files contain multiple routines. Refer to the Visual LISP documentation for more information about how to create FAS and VLX files." asos2000 Posted March 22, 2010 Author Posted March 22, 2010 Thanx Remark but is the type of lisp (*.VLX and *.LSP) make AutoCAD bocomes slow? Quote
Lee Mac Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 No, they shouldn't - .vlx and .fas files may be optimised to make them even quicker than LISP. Quote
JimF Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Is it possible to create a compiled version of an VBA file also? Quote
Lee Mac Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 I thought you could compile it as a DLL, see here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa189867%28office.10%29.aspx Quote
asos2000 Posted March 22, 2010 Author Posted March 22, 2010 Thanx I'll convert *.lsp to *.vlx and see. Quote
asos2000 Posted March 23, 2010 Author Posted March 23, 2010 Is DLL better and faster than LSP or VLX Quote
