lisaburke15 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Hello all, I'm a Naval Architect and I've build a ship in Rhino3D, and I'm looking to do seakeeping calculations. I'm using Autocad 2010. I currently have exported the hull-lines for each station from Rhino into Autocad. I need an offsets file- a text file with points of each station's hull-line. I've figured out how to export points from Autocad into Excel, but I can't find an easy way to extract points from the hull-lines (other than doing it manually). If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Lisa Quote

I'm a little confused. You can extract points, but not the hull line points? What's the difference? What kind of points are they? Just a block with an X and attributes or special AutoCAD points like we use in Land Desktop, a point object? Quote
