richard3009 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Autocad lt 2008 Lets say I create 10 blocks within a drawing, and then I use the Insert/block using the dropdown menu, on the insert dialog box that opens if i click on the name dropdown it will display all the blocks created within that drawing and let me pick them. My question is it possible to populate that drop down by importing a library of pre created blocks to a blank drawing. Quote
Tommy78 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Yes, you could do this by just copying the blocks you need to your drawing, then you can delete them and they will stay in the list untill you purge the drawing. The modern (better?) way is to create a toolpalette with your blocks, the easiest way is with designcenter. Quote
richard3009 Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 Created a pallet of blocks that parks up on the right of my screen can I make each drawing open the pallet by default Quote
Fire Alarm Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Once you create the pallet and open it up, it should stay open (no matter what drawing you open) until you close it. Either that or create a drawing template with the pallet in the template. Quote
