Please help! polyline comm. makes shaded rectangles

Someone please help, I am freaking out because I have a pile of work and cannot do anything until I fix this.

I don't know what I did BUT I was making a polyline and after some buttons pushing and typing somehow when I type the command for POLYLINE it instantly makes shaded rectangles. How do I go back to my normal lines?

Try setting PLINEWID to zero and try again.
