Holding middle mouse zoom extents is ANNOYING!!!

I use middle mouse to pan, of course, like most people. What is annoying is if you hold it down to long without panning it shoots you way up in the air (zoom extents).

how do I edit this? I want to hold pan longer before it does that. actually, i just want to get rid of it all together!

-Thanks in advance! :)

Have you checked your mouse settings in the Windows Control Panel under Device Manager? Maybe there is some adjustment you can make?

I have to doubleclick my MMB to zoom extend, it was like this in the default acad installation, i have searched a bit but was unable to find where you can change this.

Yeah, I just found out that that is the way mine is as well. I guess my mouse is so sensitive, it just clicks twice when i hit it. I think I am going to get a new mouse because now that I think of it, I never had this problem with my old mouse.

thanks fellas

Some mouse software give users the ability to adjust the sensitivity.

Didn't know this was an option.

Thanks. This is why reading the forums is helpful, I don't know where else I would have learned that as I am the only one doing AutoCAD in the office.

Too much coffee (or not enough), is making your trigger finger twitchy!

Been using this all the time now! That and the idea of making sure files are saved in a zoom-extents fashion when being closed (I think Nukecad made that comment in another post). Now, some times I will save and close in a particular view, but when storing files for the next user, it's a nice little touch to be handing off tidy files that when opened aren't panned way off the page or somethign.

I use a Logitech MX Revolution... it's pretty easy to customize w the included software. You might want to check it out.

If you have a multibutton mouse without configuration software you might want to check out "x-mouse button control" it's freeware and works great.

I used it at work to configure my microsoft intellimouse, the left button=ESC and the right button=CTRL now.
