rngetter Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Okay, this is my first posting on this website, and I'm sure there will be many more in the near future, as I'm rather behind in my autocad homework. For, this test I'm about to start there's a line, that I don't remember going over. I don't know what its called, and I can't seem to find it in my book. Here is the picture I edited in mspaint to point out the specific lines. What's the name of the command? And how does it work? Okay, the last uploading service I used didn't work, so let's try this again. Quote
fuccaro Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Try the break line symbol. In earlier versions of AutoCAD it was an Express tool. Welcom in the forum! Quote
rngetter Posted March 26, 2010 Author Posted March 26, 2010 Thanks. The versions of AutoCAD I have are 2006, 2009, an 2010. Do you happen to know the command for that tool? If not, do you know where I can point and click to find it? I tried searching for "line break" in the help index, but it came to no avail. Can someone help me? I suppose I'll keep fiddling through the menus till I find it, but the test is due by midnight tonight. Quote
Tankman Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Is BREAKLINE available in AutoCAD 14? Give the command a try! Profile says AutoCAD 14. Post reads '06, '09 and 2010? Works for me, '05 and/or '07. Welcome to the forums! Where might you be posting from? Quote

Welcome to the forums! Where might you be posting from? The command breakline doesn't work in 2009LT, but I'd just draw the thing. Takes about 2 seconds, no? Quote
rngetter Posted March 26, 2010 Author Posted March 26, 2010 Try the Breakline command. When I try that in AutoCAD 2006 it doesn't work, I receive the following error: Command: breaklineUnknown command "BREAKLINE". Press F1 for help. However; it works fine in my 2009. @Tankman AutoCAD 14 was the first version I used. My high-school was rather low-budget as that was in 2002. Thanks everyone, I should be able to complete my assignment, now. Quote
fuccaro Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 In AutoCAD 2006 do you have the Express tools installed? Quote

Crazy J Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Tankman, This came up on one another post I was involved with. I've been meaning to search it myself, but just haven't. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=42549&page=3 Eldon gave a comment here about where he thought you might still find express tools.
