MichaelJ07
Howdy! Not many things bug me in Autocad that haven't been solved from groups like yours. But lately, this one "thing" is just bugging me and I thought maybe you folks here could help. Autocad 2002 is open and waiting for me to select a drawing. I select Open, and of course the open dialogue box comes up. Perfect up to this point, as it has been for years. However, it always comes up in Preview mode and I always want to change it to the List view because I have tons of drawings and most of the time, the name is truncated and I have to use "brain power" to find the particular drawing I want. Is there any system variable that will make this dialogue box open to the list view instead of Preview view? (...that reads funny, I know....) Thanks for your time. I appreciate it. Crazy J
Mike, You know, I wonder this same thing just about every day when I fire up the machine and set about my AutoCAD tasks at hand. I wonder if it's not a Windows setting though. I seem to get this in a lot of applications. It's one of those things I always think would be nice to get straight, but I never have the time at that moment to address it. We'll see what the forum comes up with.
