muck Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I have a drawing with several ports showing several floors. I go in the port of the floor that I want to do a flat shot of. The result is a 2d flatshot drawing showing all floors in the model. Is there a way to flatshot only the floor I want. Thank you, Quote
Cad64 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 What version of Autocad are you using? Please update your profile information. Just turn off or freeze the layers you don't want to be included in the Flatshot. The command only works on objects that are visible on screen. If the layers are all mixed up, so you can't just freeze the other floors, save out a copy of your drawing and delete everything you don't want in the Flatshot. Quote
Hoozin Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Cad64's answer should be enough for you, but on the off chance you're just mentioning that the flatshot shows all of the floors beneath the floor you're flatshotting, uncheck the "Show" box for the obscured lines area of the dialog box. The other thing is that you can quite easily go into the block or drawing generated and mass delete the stuff you don't want if you are getting a lot of extraneous stuff from regions and solids around but not directly related to what you're looking at. That said, layer control and freezing appropriate layers is definitely the better way to go about this. Quote
