Here are some problems I am facing in drawing Site layout Exercise

1. How to make lines thick, as shown in original drawing.

2. What are the ways of drawing circular arc portions in drawing?

I’ve used the technique to draw a full circle with given center and radius, and the go on trimming extra lines; I found this as the easiest way out, if there is some other way out. Please suggest.

3. When I was drawing two of the buildings inside the boundary, I faced a big problem in drawing left hand side inner building. The problem was that, lines are not going perfectly orthogonal to each other even if I am specifying the exact polar coordinates.

4. And how to draw colors inside the objects?

5. Another problem is with dimensioning, I am not able to see the dimensioning at scale of 1:1

Here I am attaching the drawing which I’ve made for given exercise.

In layer manager set lineweight to higher setting; use plines with width; set layers to plot style with thicker lines plotting out.

Nothing wrong with drawing a circle and trimming, the other way is to use the Arc command, watch the command line for options on starting with center, etc. Most of the options are lined out in the ribbon as well.

Draw one line at the angle you need, then use UCS command, Object option (type O, enter) select line. The UCS will align with the object. To go back use UCS, W, enter (W = world). You could even use PLAN, Current, to have the lines at vertical and horizontal. Later use Plan, World along with UCS, World.

You can always use otracking and use the parallel osnap.

4. And how to draw colors inside the objects?

BHATCH, solid or gradient.

5. Another problem is with dimensioning, I am not able to see the dimensioning at scale of 1:1

You probably won't be able to see dims at 1:1 since this is a site plan you will need to use a plot scale of 1:50.
