boofredlay Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Hey guys. I have a new contract opportunity where I will start out using SketchUp which I am very familiar with. However after a few months or so I will have the opportunity to move into a more permanent position using Solid Works. In the meantime I need to start learning. Is there a demo copy I can download? What would be the best way to start learning SW? Thanks for any help. Quote
shift1313 Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 You can download a trial version of it from SW but i believe its a 30 day trial. Im not sure of any other way to get a copy(unless you are unemployed). Quote
ReMark Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Look on the Home page of CADTutor for the Solidworks Interactive Tour. You'll have to scroll down a bit. Yeah, I know, it's not a free 30-day trial, but it's a start. Quote
boofredlay Posted April 7, 2010 Author Posted April 7, 2010 Thanks guys. If it helps my wife is a school teacher, she may be able to get a discount. If SW does have a 30 day demo (or otherwise) I am not seeing it. I also don't see the Interactive Tour on the CADTutor Home page. I am having my Gallbladder removed in a couple hours so I guess I am a bit preoccupied. Quote
boofredlay Posted April 7, 2010 Author Posted April 7, 2010 Other than the "Student Edition" watermark, is there much difference in the student edition of SolidWorks? http://www.studica.com/SolidWorks/?gclid=CICR1arT9KACFQcQswodlTUruw Quote
