Grade Display

Is there a way to display real time grade for a surface (similar to the Coordinate Tracker found under View -> Palettes)?

This can be done by selecting Analyze -> Inquiry -> Inquiry Tool. You can then select Surface Elevation and Grade at Point from the drop down box (option is under the Surface folder).

Pick a spot on the surface and it will list the values.

The older Softdeak plug-in used to have the option of showing grades as a percent, or as of actual slope. And no mix for pipelines or surfaces.

Problem being was that (then) if you took a measurement of the grade from here to there. and it was not exactly perpendicular to the intended direction, then you got some false slope. Only took us a week to find this out, and do the slopes the older way, by hand then.
