Hi,

I was wondering if i can get some help here. It has been a while since i last worked on CAD works.

Now i feel like i am learning all over again.

I have a drawing from other people. It is drawn in meter. Now, i would like to print it out on A4 paper (210 x 297) on a scale 1:1.

How do i do that? what is the formula to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Switch to a layout where you gain access to paper space. Create a viewport and then apply a scale to the viewport itself then lock the display of the viewport. Plot at 1:1 from your layout.

Thanks ReMark for your reply.

I got it right finally.

I think i really need some tutorial on scaling. Up until now, i still struggle to get my head around it. We do sometimes get drawing from someone else (drawing can be in meter or kilometer). Would you be able to tell me where i can get info on scaling or anyone might be able to direct me to the place where i can learn.

Thank you in advance

Please be careful with that word "scaling". The SCALE command used in model space gives the user the ability to change the size of an object. There there is the concept of "scale" (ex. 1"=40' or 1 unit = 1 meter) as it pertains to a viewport in a layout.

Have you looked at any of the tutorials here at CADTutor?

What specifically is the problem you seem to be having?
