KH Guitar Freak Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Hey guys, new here, and new to AutoCAD 2010. I have problems trying to get the angles to read from north. I've tried changing the direction control to north, but angles are still read from east. I wonder if anyone knows what's the problem here. Also, I noticed that when I close AutoCAD 2010, the custom settings for all the units have returned to default. How would I go about permanently setting the units each time I run the program? Cheers... Quote
KH Guitar Freak Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 Actually, it does work if you enter the angles in manually. When you draw it "freehand" so to speak, using only your mouse to determine the angles, it still wants to refer to east as the base of the angle... Quote
bonehead411 Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 AutoCAD's 0 degrees is east by default. Type UNITS on the command line, in the popup dialogue box, click the "Direction" button. Quote
