nicklaus27 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Hi Guys! My names Nick and i work for a company called Vital Energi (vitalenergi.co.uk) we are a energy solutions company, i work on the District Heating mains side completing all the CAD drawings. i've got a bit of a problem which i could with some help with. I'm currently doing a project for another department. and i've used MEP to make some stairs for a house entry...(pic below, sorry about the quality , it's from paint!) i've got parts of the stairs coloured in using the tool palette option of Hardwood flooring. The only trouble is i have no idea how i got that as when i try and use the materials palette option, it wont let me select the sairs as it's one object...how do i edit the stairs so that the tread & landing is one style and the risers are a different style!? I'm using AutoCAD MEP 2008. Thanks in Advance, Nick. Quote
Pablo Ferral Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I don't use MEP either.... Have you tried holding down the CTRL key whilst clicking on a sub feature? Quote

Have you tried holding down the CTRL key whilst clicking on a sub feature? yeh I've tried that, but it's because it's one whole object (almost a block say) that it's not allowing me to select anything to edit. I have to go into it via selecting the object, right click, and then edit object style...this is where it all gets a bit confusing! Quote
