Viewport Help Please

If I have a drawing open and on the layout tab and I enter the viewport - it automatically zooms extents.

Without having to lock the viewport to keep my scale how do I keep it from zooming?

I know it can be done cause other drawings I have don't automatically zoom when I enter the viewport and they are not locked.

Please help! Thanks so much in advance.

Try setting Ucsfollow=0 while in the viewport.
