cad keeps forgetting my settings

Hi all

I am using autocad and the settings and variables keep setting to a default every time i start up the pc.

things such as viewres goes from 20000 to 500

and my dimensions start being exploded as DIMASSOC goes from 3 back to 0

all my settings keep changing back.

could someone please help me help me keep my settings?

Is this on a network?

Setup all your settings

Is the save workspace changes box checked?

Export your profile to a flash drive. change the file extension to: .arg

Next time you sign in, start Acad normaly.

Options > profiles >inport profile > your.arg

Set active.

See if this takes care of the problem.

Some networks deleat all changes to the profiles over night.

its not on a network, stand alone.

well the pcis on a network but cad is not.

ill give it a go and see what happens, cheers for your advice.

does your shortcut invoke a profile?

Do you use any custom lisp routines? Maybe one of them is resetting values and forgetting to return them to their original settings.
