FIFTHTEXAS Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 trying to freeze a viewport in paper space, ok when i do a rectangle type, with an unusual builing layout, i would like to freeze the viewport in paper space, however for some reason when i freeze this particular viewport ( made object) it shows up the whole xref, which i do not want to see, ok when you plot . plots ok, so you only plot the part you want. is there a setting i can use. to stop this happening, any ideas? much appreciated Quote

FIFTHTEXAS Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 hi layout paper space, create a viewport on a layer, scale etc show xref etc drawing. then you freeze your viewport to hide it. works fine on using a normal viewport, my problem is when i have an irregular building shape , things i dont want to see in my drawing, so create an poly line, use object. all looks fine when you do it, prints out ok to. but when i freeze my viewport to hide it on my layout in paperspace, when i do this it hides the vieport line, but then shows al the building, the whole thing. i just want to hide the line, so it views the same as it prints as you view it in your layout. do you know what i mean? it works when you print your drawing, its just when you view. many thanks Quote
alanjt Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Just put the ViewPort on a non-plottable layer. Quote
