button description pop up

In 2010 autocad, when I hold the mouse pointer on an object (button or command) it gives a pop up of what it is, and so on, followed sometimes by a more descriptive version. Where is the variable to change the time it takes for this pop up to display? I like the option of having it but mostly it gets in the way of what I need to do.

Options > Display > Window elements > Uncheck 'Show ToolTips'

I think the OP is asking how to increase the delay time before extended tool tips displays, since the extended tip is only sometimes needed.

Same place, same dialog box area, just increase the number of seconds to delay extended tol tips rather than unchecking.
