cadnooob Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Is there a way to change ordinary text to a block attribute? I have a drawing with levels from a surveyor that are just text and need the text to be changed to block attributes that have a little crosshair symbol pointing to where the level applies to and the text attached to the crosshair. I already have the block attribute, i just need to know if there is a way of doing this without having to manually go through and change every single level to a block attribute. Quote
alanjt Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 With a bit of programming. Post an example and your block. Quote
cggentry Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Alan, Not exactly related to this guys question, but I have a similar one. All I want to do is make my text stay the same font and size when it is inserted from a tool palette into another person's drawing. I've been running into the text changing to whatever they have set as their text style. Keep in mind, I don't have express tools so I can't just explode the text. I can't get express tools, because my IT people won't get permission from corporate. I think I used to be able to do this back in older versions of CAD, but 2008 seems to be a bit more tricky. Quote
alanjt Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 If they are notes that you want inserted, just make them a block, put them in Tool Palettes and when you them inserted, have Tool Palettes explode the block upon insertion; or am I just not understanding your question? Quote
