pitchy1974 Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I am using autocad 2009 in conjunction with cadworx. What I am trying to do is create a .las file so that other users can simply import the layers they need. When I export the file it seems to work fine, the problem I have is in importing. It is not bringing in the line types or descriptions with the layers, has anyone had any experience with this? Any solutions you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Sam Quote
Hugh_Compton Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I like to have a template drawing that contains all of my standard layers (actually it contains all of my dim styles, text styles, materials etc too). I insert, explode then erase this drawing to get my styles into the current document. Here's the sequence (I have it on a keyboard shortcut in the CUIx): ^C^C_-insert;[TemplateDrawing];0,0;;;;er;l;; As long as the template drawing's folder is in CAD's support path (Options > Files > Support File Search Path) then it works fine. --------------------------------------- 3D AutoCAD Pipework - http://www.HerculeDesign.com/ Quote
