happyunited Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Hi, Is there a way I can change the command for this from CHSPACE to something shorter? I cna't see the commant in my .PGP file. Thanks Quote
NBC Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Use ALIASEDIT, and just add whatever shortcut you wish in there. Quote
happyunited Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 Use ALIASEDIT, and just add whatever shortcut you wish in there. I did loook at that before but couldn't find CHSPACE on there. Does that just update on my pgp file? Thanks for your help. Quote
NBC Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 If CHSPACE isn't already in there, it simply means that a shortcut doesn't exist yet - it doesn't mean you can't add one for it. Yes it updates your pgp file. Quote
bjschw Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Just go into aliasedit and add the command like the previous poster said. Just make sure you don't use a shortcut already in use. Quote
ReMark Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I believe that editing the acad.pgp file from within AutoCAD requires the use of the REINIT command for the changes to be recognized by AutoCAD. Can someone verify? Quote

NBC Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I believe that editing the acad.pgp file from within AutoCAD requires the use of the REINIT command for the changes to be recognized by AutoCAD. Can someone verify? That used to be the case, but I just tried aliasedit in 2008 and it didn't the use of REINIT. But, good shout, nonetheless Quote
Cad64 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Interesting. I generally edit my pgp directly, but it appears that Aliasedit has an automatic Reinit built into the command. Quote
ReMark Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I'll keep that in mind too. Thanks NBC. Thanks Cad64 for the verification just the same. Some of us dinosaurs might forget about Aliasedit and fall back on old habits. Quote
