DXF -> Architecture ?

Hi everyone!

I'm working on a project where we need to obtain 3d representation of a building given a DXF/DWG file containing floorplans. Right now I can manually reconstruct the building using the DXF as a template (extrusion/sweeping), but I'd like to know if there is a way to make this more automatically since we have a lot of DXF to work with.

Is there anything that can perform a kind of 'semantic analysis' of the dxf ? like recognition of doors, walls, maybe even dimensions ?
