inserting a scale

is there a way to insert a pre-drawn scale into a drawing? i mean like a visible little black and white checkered scale at the bottom of my drawings? or do i just have to draw one by hand and copy paste it into my drawings? thanks!

make a block out of your little scale and insert it into the drawings you want.

Yep, then if you change the scale in different drawings, or details/viewports, just attribute edit.
