Picky87 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Sort of thinking aloud here but has anyone come across or thought of the logistics of writing a lisp for a predictive command line? I.e. for longer command names such as the XDRGFADECTL instead of setting different alias' (which could mean running out of logical options) typing 'X' would obviously suggest explode but 'XD' would go on to suggest the correct command, much like typing with predictive text messages. The more I type the more I think the replies will be along the lines of "stop being lazy and just get busy with your alias editor" but if there was a way to bypass that then wouldn't it be more efficient in the long run? There sould be something already but I haven't found it. Quote
dbroada Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 you've not seen that TAB does this already then Quote
NBC Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 There is already a tool that does this - it's called CommandComplete - you can find it at http://labs.autodesk.com/utilities/CommandComplete/ However, upon my initial trial of using this, I found that it slowed down AutoCAD to a near full stop Quote
