ReMark Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 That is a very broad request. You give us no clue as to what types of lisp routines might be beneficial to you. What is commonly used by me might be worthless to you. Please be 1) more specific about what you are looking for and 2) less demanding. The talented people who write lisp routines are volunteers and not paid. Try to be a bit more diplomatic in your requests. Now, have you bothered to look through the CADTutor AutoLISP archive at the routines posted there? Have you checked on all the routines such members as Lee Mac and alanjt have posted? Do you realize there are several online sources that post lisp routines for free downloading? Quote
ReMark Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 You might also try clicking on the LINKS button at the top of this page. AutoLISP routines can be found at... SimpleCAD AfraLISP Jeffery P Sanders CAD Corner DotSoft Seek and ye shall find. Quote

ReMark Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Instructions on how to load autolisp code can be found in the AutoCAD FAQ listed at the top of this page. Look in the Customization area...AutoLISP. The AfraLISP and Jeffery P Sanders websites will give you plenty of good information about AutoLisp including how to use it. So you are working in the civil engineering field. What kinds of tasks do you want to use AutoLisp for? Quote
afrazawan Posted May 24, 2010 Author Posted May 24, 2010 im wanted to learn new i have no task in my ideas but i ll check all lisp which can i use so pls you help and support me im wanted to learn new ideas thanks but pls tel me about autolisp how can i use it Quote
dbroada Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 others may disagree but in my opinion you are better off learning the AutoCAD basics rather than relying on LISPs. The number of tasks that NEED LISP are very few. In general LISPs are there to do something quickly. Once you understand creating a drawing you will know what LISPs you need and will be better placed to ask what you want, or more importantly write your own. There are many more people here willing to give you help wirite your own than there are willing to just give code away. Quote
ReMark Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 You need to start with some basic lessons. I recommend the ten tutorials at the Draftsperson.net website. It is hosted by Allan Wise. Here is a link to the site: http://www.draftsperson.net/index.php?title=AutoLISP_Lesson_1_-_Introduction_to_Lisp_Programming AutoLisp can be used to simplify repetitive tasks. Is there a task you can think of that you do maybe in every project that involves a repetition of the same commands consistently? If so, that is a task you might want to write a lisp routine to "automate" it. Look at some of the lisp routines listed in the CADTutor AutoLISP Archive for examples of such tasks. Quote
ReMark Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 One more website for you. The ABC's of AutoLISP by George Omura. http://klobouk.fsv.cvut.cz/~chour/Lisp/Contents.htm Quote
ReMark Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 The last one I am going to post re: AutoLisp tutorials. http://www.acadsolutions.biz/Tutorial.htm You now have almost ten sources for information about AutoLisp. Start doing some reading. Practice writing your own simple autolisp routines as you study. Come back here with specific questions if you run into a problem. We will not accept generalities like "Please help me...I'm lost." The more specific you are the better we will be able to help you. Thank you. Quote
ReMark Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Examples of Autolisp routines written by alanjt and Lee Mac can be seen here at CADTutor. Go up to the Members List button at the top of this page and click on it. Find each of their names, in turn, and view their profile page. Each page will have a link to some/all of their programs. These talented members, along with many others, have posted their code for others to see and learn from. Take advantage of this generousity and study what they have written. You will learn much. Learning to code for a program should ALWAYS take a back seat to learning the program itself. Quote
