ebooysen Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Can anyone please help me, I want to create my own AutoCAD Library with all the symbols that I use for P&ID's. I am relative new to AutoCAD and is still learning. Could anyone pleas let me know how to do this or where I can find good tutorials to do tis. I am currently using AutoCAD 2008. Tiger Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 If you have drawn symbols already you are half way there. Save each symbol in its own DWG, save them to a folder and ta-da - you have your library. If you want to present them on a Palette (which is a fairly normal procedure) there are plenty of descriptions here - try the Search function. Quote
ReMark Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 As Tiger suggested create a new Tool Palette. It can be populated with your P&ID symbols via the Design Center. Just drag-n-drop them onto the palette. Another option is to put all your symbols in a folder (subdivided into additional folders for valves, instrumentation, pumps, equipment, labels, etc.) and then use the Insert command. Quote
