arthall Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Making transition from 2004 to 2010. If I dimension a radius and the text falls where I don't want it, like on top of something, how do I move/stretch or otherwise make it appear in another location. Also, is there a quick way like 2004 to edit decimal places, dimension type, tolerances etc? Thanks. Quote
ReMark Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 You can try clicking on the radius and using the grips to move it. Quote
Tankman Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Try "DIMSTYLE" to set whatever preferences you require. If only for one dimension, 'MODIFY', 'PROPERTIES' as required. Like ReMark said, just grab the dimension grip and pull to wherever you need it. You might like to have ortho and snap off when moving the dimension(s). Quote
cadvision Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I normally just grab it with grips and re-position. Quote
Dana W Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Select the text, right click, then click Dim Text Position. It will give you several options for moving the text and/or the dimension line around. Quote
eldin Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 You can also try the function 'DIMTEDIT' for moving the text.. Quote
