interior_decorator_p Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 HELP!! I'm trying to change text height in my dimension style. I have previously set-up and gone through all the steps for a new dim style. The height is too tall and is set at 1/4" I have tried numerous times to change that height to 1/8". Once I type that in the text box under the text tab, as soon as I click "ok" it automatically changed back to 1/4". I desperately need this to be fixed as soon as possible and for some reason I can't find a way to do so. PLEASE HELP!! Quote
lpseifert Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Check that the text style that you're using in your dim style doesn't have a set height; it should be 0. Quote
interior_decorator_p Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 Thank you for the quick reply I have made sure of that, it still didn't matter. I'm not too sure what it is that I've done, but I've managed to change the height, it's still showing the same height of 1/4" but it's definitely a lot smaller. Thank you very much Quote

I desperately need this to be fixed as soon as possible and for some reason I can't find a way to do so. PLEASE HELP!! Are you confusing more than one text style? I am not sure about all the aspects of your drawing settup, but here are a couple of ideas. Double check that the text style your dimension style is using, is the one you think it is, or rather, the one with the height set to zero. And make sure again that the text height in your 'TEXT STYLE' is set to zero. If it is not set to zero, it will overide anything you enter in the DIMENSION STYLE text height. Then, modify your dimension style text height to what you want. As long as the TEXT STYLE height is zero, you can use it in many dimension styles, each with a different text height. I suppose you know that if the paperspace and modelspace units are different, your text height in paperspace and modelspace will be different by the same ratio. Quote
eldon Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Also check your length precision. If it is set to 1/4", then it will not show 1/8". I think that the system variable LUPREC should be 3 for 1/8". Quote
