Custom Complex Line Type Dillemas

Recommended Posts

I'm working with a very simple .shp/.shx file with an .lin typed up to make parallel rails without rail ties.

1. I'm trying to bring in the shapes into the .lin without any other dashes or dots, if possible.

2. My current .lin keeps ceasing to work after the first two segments of a line or pline. Any tips to fix this.

With UCS set to global, these linear coordinates make the four lines I'm using,

(-6,31) (6,31)

(-6,29) (6,29)

(-6,-29) (6,-29)

(-6,-31) (6,-31)

with (0,0) as the insertion point. I saved it as RAIL in RAIL.shp

RAIL.lin :

*RAIL,RAIL============

A,0,[RAIL,RAIL.shx,s=1],-12

Thanks for your help!:D
