Problems with dimensions

Hi,

 

I am having an issue that when I copy an existing drawing that contains dimensions into a new drawing some of the dimensions get stretched out far into model space...how to I prevent this from happening?

make sure your defpoints layer isn't locked, turned off, or otherwise disabled in either drawing. If that's not it, I don't know what else might cause it.
