AFitchguy07 Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Is there a way to designate a certain directory to have the .bak files saved to? I want them for obvious reasons, but I do not want them in the same directory as my actual dwg's. It makes it cluttered. I can go and make them all hidden, but once it gets updated, they become visible again. Or, is there a way within windows 7, or AutoCAD 2011, to make the .bak file extension a hidden file by default? BIGAL Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 Also type config under files temporary file location check where all your autosave files`are being written to, so you can clean them up a typical clean up for us may give back 2.5gb it also holds bak files but more up to date than the location of the dwg file. Handy if you have a crash. mine is c:\acadtemp v's document&settings\bigal\applications\autodesk\ ......etc Quote
