We are parsing DXF files to generate a drawing as JPEG image. from DXF file, how can we get the drawing size (Height and Width) and also x,y coordinates. What is the difference between $EXTMAX and $LIMMAX or($EXTMIN and $LIMMIN)? please explain with an example if possible. dbroada Posted June 22, 2010 Share Posted June 22, 2010 my GUESS would be that the LIM settings are the limits of a drawing (input by the draughtsman or from the template) while EXT are the extents, being where objects are located. It used to be impossible to draw outside the set limits but that is no longer true and naturally it is easy to keep all your objects with the drawing limits.
