Daniel777 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Can someone help me with this? I copy an element within aCad and then when I go to paste in the element, an element comes up that I copied on a previous occasion and not the one that I have just copied. Sometimes an element from many many previous runnings of aCad comes up. When I attempt it again yet another element copied on a previous occasion will come up to be pasted. I usually then have to restart aCAd and then it usually works. Closing the current drawing and reloading it does not help with this It's as if the copy "register" fills up with previous copy elements and then chooses those elements at random to paste in rather than the element that I have just copied to be pasted. ReMark Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Have you installed any service packs for AutoCAD 2007? Quote
nukecad Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 As Mark says; install the latest 2007 service pack from the Autodesk site and that will cure the problem. This copy/paste problem is a well known bug in early versions of 2007. It happens when you 'save as' an earlier version i.e. 2000 or 2004 from an unfixed version of 2007. When you then try to copyclip or copybase from that drawing nothing is copied to the clipboard and anything that was in there already stays there. Autodesk released a Hofix to correct the problem and later incorporated the fix into the service packs. Quote
