select tool

I somehow turned off the ability to select multiple objects (without having to use the shift key). Could someone please tell me what i need to do. I like having the ability to select multiple objects without using the the shift.

Change pickadd to 1.

I kinda wonder at times, why they put that toggle button for pickadd up there at the top of the properties sheet. It is right where a person's periferal vision might expect a minimize button.

It is like Al Bundy's light switch by the phone. click click click click click ... Where does this switch go?
