The Courage Dog Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 HI, anybody can tell me why when we open a drawing in 2008 it's very slow, when we open it 2007 it's fast but some of the text annotation which are left justifications are reversing to right justifications. Also when we try to bind some drawings in 2008 it doesn't bind, while in 2007 is ok. Any idea please. Quote
ReMark Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Have all updates for 2008 been loaded? Have you checked the drawing for errors (run an Audit)? What text font are you using? Are there any xrefs attached to the drawing? Have you checked your scalelist and eliminated any unused scales? Is the problem confined to just one drawing or does it affect all drawings? Quote
The Courage Dog Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 My autocad is not original, so no updates has been made, (is it possible to update if it is not original?). I did all clean-up like purge, scalelisedit & audit. I'm using standard fonts only Most of the xrefs are attached (not overlay) Most of the drawings are slow, about 95% of them. Quote
ReMark Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Not original? I'm not sure I want to ask. Updates can be found and downloaded at the AutoDesk website. Are you on a network? Could it be a "pathing" problem? AutoCAD might be looking for something and is having a difficult time finding the right path. What font is being used. I hate asking questions twice. Did you make any changes to your hardware lately? Quote
