alijahed Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Hi All, Very simple question! How can I divide the attached circle into segments according to those crossing lines? By using Trim or Break I lose the circle! Cheers Ali Quote

eldon Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 For those of us who do not have an account with The Swamp, breaking a circle is easy if you know how to do it. If your second pick point is in an anti-clockwise direction, the circle will break between the pick points. If your second pick point is in a clockwise direction, you will be left with that segment of circle between the pick points (which is usually very small). Once the circle has been broken, then subsequent Breaks happen normally. So in the above example, do the Breaks each side of the lines, and then use Extend to neaten things up. Quote
Tiger Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 There is also Break at One Point that you can use - either on your own (at the first prompt Specify secnd break point, type F and then selecet both first and second break point at the same point) or via the built-in-button right next to the Break button, called Break at one Point. Thanks for the answers, The break @ one point doesn't work on circle! This is the message from AutoCAD: "Arc cannot be full 360 degrees" Quote
