mzfka Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 when i print my work, lines which are with dash spaces come out on paper like default lines !!! where is a problem ? Quote
ReMark Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Most likely it is with your linetype scale. Are you printing from model space or paper space? Are you printing to some sort of scale or to "fit"? Quote
mzfka Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 I draw, then when i print, i choose print window, crop out all work, then clik fit on paper ! linetype scale is 1 ! Quote
ReMark Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I guess you're saying that you print from model space and at no particular scale. Is that correct? What is being drawn? What size paper are you printing to? Quote
mzfka Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 I'm drawing kinda electro lines, and i need a boxes with dash spaces, on autocad there is these dash spaces, but when i print(on A4 format) there is single lines ! mby problem is that i used THICKNESS? Quote
ReMark Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Why are you using Thickness? Have you tried changing the linetype scale? Quote
mzfka Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 because, when i dont use thickness, and my linetype scale is 1, these dash spaces dont appear, even i have picked dash space linetype Quote
ReMark Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Then you are working in 3D not 2D right? From your AutoCAD Help file: Thickness "Use the thickness property to give objects a 3D appearance." Quote
ReMark Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 2D? Then you have no rational reason to be using thickness unless you are trying to give the appearance of 3D. Have you tried changing the linetype scale? A simple yes or no will suffice. Quote
mzfka Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 yes now, my thickness ir 0, linetype scale 0.1 and there is dash spaces, but when i print they arent Quote
ReMark Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Perhaps the length of the line you want to print and the size of the paper you want to print to causes AutoCAD to compress the line to such an extent that it "appears" it is continuous. Quote
